Introduction

The following are the terms and conditions for the purchase of products from Direct Vintage. Use of this website constitutes your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Pricing

Direct Vintage retains the right to revise our prices at any time to reflect changes in our costs such as but not limited to: goods, carriage, labour, overheads, government taxes and exchange rates. All prices are in Sterling (£) and inclusive of VAT at 20%. All products are offered subject to availability.

Photographs/Images

We take all reasonable care to ensure our images accurately reflect the product being sold.

Accuracy of Information

While we endeavour to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on this website are correct and not misleading at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system, we do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material on it. We may make changes to the material on it or to the products and prices described in it, at any time without notice.

Cancellation of Orders

At our sole discretion, Direct Vintage may cancel all or part of any order for goods at any time before the goods are delivered by giving notice to the Buyer. On giving such notice we shall repay within fourteen days to the Buyer any sums paid to Direct Vintage in respect of a cancelled order. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from such cancellation.

Delivery Information and Associated Charges

Delivery Charges

Deliveries within Ireland and the United Kingdom are free. If you require delivery outside the United Kingdom, please contact us to arrange before ordering. We may not fulfil orders for delivery outside of the UK without prior arrangement, and at our own discretion.

Dispatch

We will endeavour to dispatch your order within 2-3 working days subject to the availability of the goods. In the event of the items not being available, we will contact you by email or by phone.

Purchase of Products

Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us once we have sent you an email order confirmation. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a order confirmation email do not form part of that contract. The company shall under no circumstances be held liable for any special losses to specific circumstances of the customer, indirect or consequential losses or for loss of profits, damage or property, or wasted expenditure.

Orders are placed and received exclusively via the Internet and processed by Impulse Global Solutions Ltd.

Before ordering from us, it is your responsibility to check and determine your full ability to receive the products. This includes ensuring that the product ordered will pass freely into your room of choice, and that they fit in that room, can be transported through the front door of your flat or room, stairs and doorways, and any other issues that could make the delivery more complicated or impossible to process.

All information asked on the checkout page must be filled in precisely and accurately. We will not be responsible for missed delivery because of wrong delivery address or an inappropriate phone number. All additional charges or costs due to delivery complications or missed delivery would thus be added to your order invoice.

Payment

Payment is processed via our secure payment provider, PayPal. Your PayPal account, debit or credit card is charged for the whole amount of the order when the order is created. PayPal use one of the most powerful security systems on the Internet, a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) reinforced by an encryption process in order to protect all significant data related to payment.

The sale will be submitted for processing as soon as you click on the “confirm” button. You will then receive an email from us to confirm the sale, availability of the product, and expected average delivery date.

We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of refusing or by reason of unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

Delivery Method, Times and Terms

Most of our items are large – you are advised that there needs to be someone at the address to take delivery of the order. You may find it easier to give a work address, if possible, when it is unlikely that anyone will be able to accept your order at the home address. Where the post office is unable to make delivery, then a note will be left for you to collect your order at your nearest collection point. If after 3 days, the item has not been collected from the collection point, it will be returned to Direct Vintage. In this instance you will have to pay a further postal charge to have the goods re-delivered to the original or an alternative address.

We need your home/mobile telephone number and your address. These details need to be accurate as we cannot accept responsibility for non-delivery if your address and telephone details are insufficient or incorrect. Please note that as the Courier tends to deliver during the working day you may find it easier to give a work address, if possible, when it is unlikely that anyone will be able to accept your order at your home address. The goods shall be deemed to have been delivered when the courier obtains confirmation of receipt for the goods from any person at the address that you have given. Where the Courier is unable to find a person to accept delivery, you will be contacted by the courier using the phone number(s) given when placing the order and arrangements will be made with you by the courier for the delivery. If contact cannot be made, the goods will be returned after 3 working days to Direct Vintage and a charge will be made for re-delivery to the original or an alternative address.

We recommend you inspect goods on receipt for any damage or faults.

Refunds and Returns

Unwanted / Unsuitable Goods

Unwanted or unsuitable goods can be returned within seven working days of receipt. Your purchase must be returned in its original packaging, the product must be unused and in perfect condition and in a resalable state. Any unwanted/unsuitable items shall be returned at your own cost. We recommend using a reliable, insured carrier to return the item. On receipt of the returned goods, the credit or debit card which was originally used for payment will be refunded within 30 days.


Damaged or Faulty Goods

If goods, on receipt, are damaged, faulty or incorrect in any way you should contact us at info@directvintage.com as soon as possible and we will arrange for a replacement, repair or refund. The costs of returning damaged, faulty or incorrect goods will be the responsibility of Direct Vintage.

Warranties and Liabilities

Direct Vintage gives no warranties, representations, statements or guarantees (whether expressed or implied) in relation to the website in particular with limitation, any warranties regarding infringement and freedom from viruses. Use of this website is at your sole risk and if you are unhappy with the terms and conditions of this website you should cease using it.

Direct Vintage accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred by you directly or indirectly by your use of this website or your use of information obtained while passing through this website.

The Direct Vintage website may contain links to third party websites. These links are provided for your convenience. Direct Vintage does not endorse these websites or their contents.

Direct Vintage’s total liability for any claim however it arises shall not exceed the price paid for the goods supplied by us to you together with any delivery charges incurred.

This website, its contents and any contracts arising out of it are governed by and in accordance with the laws of England.

Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for any delay or for failure to comply with the obligations under these terms and conditions if the delay or failure comes about, either directly or indirectly, due to cause or causes beyond our reasonable control.

General

These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
